By bike:
Ride along the main road from Altdorf. Please note: the main road is only closed to motor traffic from Unterschächen onwards.
Public transport:
The PostBus runs to Unterschächen as scheduled. Bike transport is not available! You will therefore need to ride from Altdorf to the start. Please note: motor traffic runs as normal up to Unterschächen.

A highlight for those who like to take their time: boats leave Flüelen every hour. Admittedly a slightly longer, but extremely beautiful alternative. Timetable and tickets are available here.
By car:
From Zurich/Zug via the Axenstrasse (A4) to Flüelen; from Basel/Lucerne via the A2 motorway to the Flüelen/Altdorf exit. From there, follow the main road towards Altdorf and on towards the Klausen Pass as far as Unterschächen. Parking is available in the village – please follow the signs.
By bike:
To avoid car traffic on the main road towards Linthal, it is worth taking side roads. We have put together a nice route from Glarus here for you to download.
Public transport:
Train capacity to the Glarnerland will be increased as much as possible for the event. However, the short platforms only allow limited train lengths, so trains for cyclists only run as far as Schwanden. All participants are asked to get off in Schwanden and cycle to the start in Linthal (approx. 10 km). A low-traffic route will be signposted – the GPX file can be found here.
Especially between 09:00 and 12:00, expect very large crowds and some full trains on the way there and back. All connections (incl. extra trains) can be found in the timetable at sbb.ch.
By car:
From Zurich or Chur/Sargans via the A3 motorway to the Niederurnen exit. From there, follow the main road to Glarus and on towards the Klausen Pass as far as the Braunwaldbahn valley station in Linthal. Parking is available (charges apply) – please follow the signs.
